Our local grocery store Kvarøy Handel can be found in the center of the island. Although it is small in size, it has a large selection of goods to make the dishes you want. We have a good working relationship with the lady who runs the shop, and together we can make your trip smoother with goods ready for you on arrival.

Kvarøy’s pub “E tar han bar”
Our local meeting place is the pub E tar han bar, which is centrally located next to the shop in the center of Kvarøy. It has a traditional Friday pilsner every Friday afternoon, the untraditional thing is that it opens its doors at 15:30 – 19:00. Then everyone on Kvarøy can go straight from work and meet at the pub. This is because there’s only one car on the island, so we go both to and from before we take the weekend. The pub has a cozy indoor room and outdoor seating with a view of the ships pasing by.
