Freediving

We’ve taken a liking to freediving, and have purchased suits for hire so that you can also try this magical experience when you visit us on Kvarøy. The suits are 7 mm thick so they can be used all year round, even in winter when visibility in the sea is at its best. If you don’t want to dive, it’s a great experience to just snorkel around and look at everything under the surface. The great thing about our wetsuits is that you can stay in the water so much longer without knowing the temperature of the water, and with flippers as well, you’ll be able to reach further and see more on your ocean exploration.

This activity is recommended for young people and adults, preferably together. It’s up to you to decide how challenging the trip will be and how deep you want to go. Together with our boats, you can find nice beaches and bays as a starting point that suits you and your own level. We are happy to help you find the perfect spot for you.

We rent out equipment from our warehouse on Kvarøy, with the opportunity to put on the equipment at the site and go out on a trip. The suits require a little technique to put them on, but we go through that together before you start.
The equipment package for freediving includes 7mm pants and top from Frivannsliv, as well as a lead belt for your weight. A diving mask, snorkel, flippers and, not least, a line with a diving buoy. Everything you need for a safe and good experience in the sea.
