Before the fun begins, it's important that you read through the current rental terms and conditions.

General terms and conditions

1 – All use of rented equipment is at your own risk and responsibility.
2 – To rent equipment, a person over the age of 18 must be responsible. This means that children under the age of 18 can use the equipment, but you as an adult are responsible in accordance with other terms and Norwegian law.
3 – You are responsible for your own and others’ safety when using rented equipment. Check whether your travel or home insurance covers damage to other people and other people’s belongings.
4 – If rented equipment is damaged or stolen while you are renting it, you are responsible for all costs to replace or repair it.
5 – Kvarøy Sjøhus is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is in good condition at the time of rental, and is obliged to inform you of any faults and defects.

Additional terms and conditions for boat rental

6 – The driver of a recreational boat with a length of more than 8 meters or with an engine of more than 25 HP must hold a Norwegian boat driver’s certificate or a valid qualification certificate.

7- It is forbidden to drive a boat with a blood alcohol level of more than 0.8. Reference is also made to the Norwegian Ship Inspection Service’s rules, regulations of December 11, 1981 and the Maritime Act. In the event of an accident, a blood alcohol level of up to 0.8 may result in increased liability for damages.

8 – The tenant agrees that there can be a maximum of 6 people in the boat.

9 – The rental period for the boat is from 11:00 – 11:00 the next day.

10 – The boat must be washed after use, and returned with a full tank of gasoline.
