Myken is home to the world’s first Arctic whisky, Myken Distillery, one of Norway’s largest whisky producers. Here you can learn about their production of whiskey using Arctic seawater, and get a tour of their production facilities with two tastings og Whiskey at the end.

If you want to see the view from the peaks of Helgeland, we can help you get there with our taxi boat. From Kvarøy, it’s only a 15-minute boat ride before you’re at the base of Hestmannen and ready for a spectacular tour of Rødøy/Lurøy.

Visit Jim’s fantastic café in Gjærøyvalen. The fishing pier with the nicest patio to eat fish burgers on, and a heartwarming host. When you’re first at Gjerdøy, a visit to the garden is really worth your time. To experience a generational garden in bloom, a museum, and a guide who knows a lot about growing plants.

Wednesday to Sunday, Olea’s Kitchen is open between 15:00 – 21:00 in the summer. The restaurant is otherwise available for advance group bookings all year round.
